If you start your administration in Yoursminc, you may have already been running your business for some time and perhaps even entered your administration into another accounting system, or perhaps completely outsourced it to your bookkeeper or accountant.
You can now enter the 'initial position' of your company in Yoursminc using: the opening balance sheet, with which you record things such as how much your stock is worth and what investments you have made in your inventory, for example, and how much money you have in your bank. You can also enter your debts with your suppliers and your receivables from your customers here.
By the way, even though we call this the opening balance, you can actually enter the opening balance for a fiscal year at any time during the fiscal year, as long as you do this before you close the fiscal year.
The most obvious option is to do this at the beginning of your financial year.
To do this, go to the menu option Financial – Opening balance
First select the financial year for which you want to enter the opening balance and then the journal in which it should be posted.

In this example you can see that the journal 'Memorial' has been selected with 'Suspense account opening balance' as the offset account. The offset account will be used to post all opening balances to the opening balance sheet.

The page that is then displayed gives you the option to enter the opening balances for the various Balance Sheet accounts.
After you have done this, you must click the right 'Checkbox' for the accounts for which you are sure that they contain the correct balance and then press
. After this, the bookings will be made automatically in Yoursminc.

Now enter your complete opening balance in this way.
